The first wind blades for Windplan Blauw Flevopolder
A new wind farm is being developed under the name Windplan Blauw. 74 wind turbines will be replaced by 61 larger turbines with more capacity. These will generate power for approximately 450,000 households.
The first V162 wind blades were transported to the Flevopolder by Van der Vlist. A special road transport with a total transport length of 93 metres each! From the harbour in Amsterdam the transport left, under escort, for the northwest corner of Flevoland.
To transport these wind blades, Van der Vlist uses a dolly system that can carry wind blades of 70 metres and more.
For wind turbine projects, Van der Vlist has project and site managers who advise from the preliminary stages on logistics, feasibility studies and engineering, among other things. They then ensure the project runs smoothly from start to finish.
