This month, the Van der Vlist team travelled to Denmark to deliver the first of two STC HD260c cranes. These cranes will work on the Fehmarnbelt tunnel project.
The dismantled crane was loaded at the STC factory in NL-Coevorden, near the German border. From there, the journey continued to DK-Rodby. The cranes will assist on the construction of the Fehmarnbelt tunnel, which will be 18 kilometers long and 34 meters below sea level. Mentioned tunnel will create an underground connection between Denmark and Germany.
In total, the Van der Vlist team completed 10 transports, totaling a weight of approximately 300 tons. The upperstructure was the heaviest piece, weighing 70 tons. The delivery of all the items took place within 2 days.
